Marketing Strategy for Get Set Yeti Album Release

Strategy 1 – Social Media

I will use different social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. I will
research similar businesses and competitors to see how they use social media to interact
with fans and how they promote new music. I will use a social media campaign to promote
the release of Get Set Yeti’s album. I will also use social media as a way for them to
communicate with fans.

Success measurements would be to reach 300 followers on social media.

I am aiming for Get Set Yeti to reach 300 followers because they are currently sitting at 235
so hopefully with the release of the album, they could gain 75 followers. A lot of people use
social media nowadays, from parents, siblings and teachers, social media would be a good
way to promote music. By marketing on social media, I would be able to post links to Get
Set Yeti’s music for parents/teachers to show their kids. Social media is also a good place to
promote the music as it is free, and anyone can look and copy the link to the music,
therefore, anyone could find out about the music at any time of the day, which in turn could
increase views and fans.

For marketing Get Set Yeti’s song online, I would need to:
 Research competitors
 Create social media posts
 Post sneak peaks on the lead up to release
 Post artwork
 Post final songs

Strategy 2 – Blog Posts

I will research into different bloggers and try and Get Set Yeti featured in one of their posts.
I will send the EPK to different bloggers that feature in learning/growth mindset. This can be
an effective strategy as many people keep up to date with blog posts that are relevant to
their subject, for example, teachers would keep up to date with blog posts that contain
learning materials that they can share with their class.

Success measurements would be for Get Set Yeti to be featured in a blog post.

To get Get Set Yeti featured in a blog post, I would need an EPK to send to bloggers, which
would include an artist biography, press release, images of the artist/artwork, audio and
video files and also the record company’s contact details.

In order to successfully get them on a blog post, I would need to:

 Write an artist biography
 Write a press release
 Get audio and video files
 Get photos of artist/artwork
 Add the above together to create an EPK
 Research bloggers
 Send EPK to relevant bloggers

Strategy 3 – Radio

I will research different radio producers to try and get Get Set Yeti on the radio. I will also
send the EPK to different producers and hopefully get them to play one of Get Set Yeti’s
songs. This is an effective strategy as lots of people listen to the radio. I will contact radio
stations that are aimed at kids/schools etc as the songs are aimed at young children.

Success measurements would be for Get Set Yeti to get radio play.

I am aiming to get Get Set Yeti on the radio because lots of people listen to the radio when
driving etc and therefore would listen to whatever the radio is playing. By getting them
played on the radio, and creating a good relationship with producers, it may be easier to get
their new songs played in the future. Radio will be a good way to promote this album as
many parents will be able to turn the radio to a kids channel when travelling etc to help
keep their kids happy, so if there is a catchy song on, the kids will want to listen to it again.
To get one of the songs on the radio, I would need an EPK to send to them, which would
include an artist biography, press release, images of the artist/artwork, audio and video files
and also the record company’s contact details.

In order to successfully get the song on the radio, I would need to:
 Write an artist biography
 Write a press release
 Get audio and video files
 Get photos of artist/artwork
 Add the above together to create an EPK
 Research radio stations
 Send EPK to radio stations
