Dear Mr. Myrie,

Re: Accident in the Electrical Engineering Workshop

I write to inform you about an accident which occurred in the Electrical Engineering Workshop
on October 1, 2020 at about midday. A student, Adrian Clarke of 11 Clarke was using a table saw
to cut wood, where his tie got caught in the machine. After seeing that his tie was stuck, he tried
using his hand to loosen the grip the machine had on his tie. He dragged the tie frantically,
accidentally turning on the switch of the machine, where it caught on to both his right ring and
pinky fingers.

On realizing what was happening, the nearby teacher and students ran to his assistance and three
students ran for the nurse while the teacher and the other students went for a first aid kit to apply
some on-site medical care. Jordan Williams, who is a student in the class fainted after seeing the
gushing blood from his classmate`s hand. The nurse came, and after seeing the seriousness of the
injury, called an ambulance which then rushed him to the hospital.

After the doctors in the hospital assessed the injury, they said that he had lost the top part of his
pinky and fractured his ring finger. They also reassured the school that there is absolutely nothing
to worry about as he was in a stable condition.

I would suggest that the school implement the mandatory wearing of overalls so that an accident
of this nature would not recur.

Yours sincerely,
