UND CFI GATEWAY

We are excited to announce that we now have a special new path

for University Gateway pilots from UND. The CFI Gateway allows
those already accepted into University Gateway to apply for the
opportunity to stay at UND as an instructor and meet certain pro-
gram requirements before coming to JetBlue as a first officer. Pro-
vided they have met all requirements of the program and have
passed all background checks, pilots accepted into CFI Gateway will
not have to complete any additional JetBlue interviews.

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

The job offer is contingent upon meeting all of the following

program requirements*:
 Graduate from UND with a 3.0 GPA in your major
 Get accepted into University Gateway
 Successfully complete additional selection process
 2,000+ hours TT
 >500 hours multi-engine time
 CRJ Training
 ~20 Hours CRJ training during senior year
 Monthly CRJ training to maintain proficiency
 FMS practice in Virtual Avionics Procedures Trainer
 Jet Refresher Course prior to transition to JetBlue
 Advanced multi-engine instruction (CRJ, King Air or JCAB)
 Check pilot and/or management instructor
 Complete ATP-CTP course
 Successfully pass ATP written exam
 Must be eligible for an ATP without restriction at comple-
tion of the program
 Pass a background check and drug test

*More details are outlined in the CJO document. The Pilot Hir-
ing Committee (PHC) will have the final review of all candi-
dates and may alter these eligibility requirements as it deems
necessary.

How do I apply to CFI Gateway?
First you must be apply to and be selected into Uni-
versity Gateway. Once you are already accepted
and have started instructing at UND, you can then
apply to CFI Gateway. The application windows for
both programs will open later in the semester. If
you are interested in the programs, be sure to pro-
vide your contact information to JetBlue either by
attending one of the information sessions at UND or
sending an email to UniversityGate-
way@jetblue.com. By providing your information,
you will receive notifications on the application pro-
cess for both programs.
Will JetBlue alert me when I have met my require-
ments and am ready to become a first officer?
No. You are responsible for updating your mentor
and JetBlue as you progress through the program
and meet all required gates. As with anything in
your career, you must be proactive and be an advo-
cate for yourself.

Frequently Asked
Questions
What if I am selected into CFI Gateway but decide
not to continue on that path?
All pilots selected into CFI Gateway have already
been selected into University Gateway. If you de-
cide not to pursue the CFI Gateway, you may stay in
the regular University Gateway but must choose
one of the regular time-building options in that pro-
gram. If you choose to fly for a carrier that is not an
approved option, you will no longer be considered
part of University Gateway and you will not be eligi-
ble to become a pilot at JetBlue through this pro-
gram.
Is it possible to lose my conditional job offer?
There are certain gates that you must complete in
order for your conditional job offer to remain valid.
These gates include completing the required ele-
ments of the program, as well as meeting all hiring
requirements as specified by JetBlue. You also must
be able to successfully pass a criminal background
check, drug test and have a acceptable PRIA. If you
fail to meet any of these requirements, you will not
be eligible to become a pilot at JetBlue through this
program.
