Required Materials - IPad
All customers are required to bring an iPad with them for both their ground school class
and simulator events. AeroStar utilizes electronic documents to include aircraft
manuals, checklists, and approach plates.

Computer Based Training (CBT)

AeroStar uses this unique software to allow trainees to accomplish much of the ground
school requirements from the comfort of their own home. This saves money and time
spent in travel costs. All assigned CBT lessons must be fully completed prior to the start
of on-site training sessions. Validation of required knowledge is accomplished by
completing a written exam proctored by AeroStar. To receive credit for the CBT
training the written test must be passed with a minimum score of 80 percent. Failure to
achieve the minimum score will require trainees to complete the full ground schools’
course at an additional cost.
