(During the Period July – December, 2023)

The Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority (EAEA) was established at early 50’s of the previous century
as an excellence spot of scientific research, The staff of this organization have highly versatile
capabilities, competences and specialties that cover several engineering, scientific and managerial
fields that are required for any nuclear project. Besides, these capabilities and aptitudes are
beneficial and available for many other industries such as oil, gas, petrochemicals, chemicals,
energy production, pharmaceutical and many other industries.

Accordingly, the EAEA is offering a wide range of training programs that have been extended to
Alexandria area and other surrounding zones.

The targeted trainees for such training include: senior and junior industry staff, fresh university
graduates (engineering, science, pharmacy, medicine), as well as senior industry and medical
technicians and specialists.

Some details of the training subjects are included in the next pages:

The ability to communicate with others to convey ideas and messages, especially if
they are a group of people requires capabilities, which can only be acquired by
learning and training. The ability to convey ideas orally is of great importance,
whatever your position in society. For a university student, it increases his awareness
of communication skills, whether with his professors or colleagues. Applicants for job
cannot obtain it unless they are able to present themselves in a convincing manner,
showing their ability to carry out what is required of them in the job. In the academic
field, oral communication is an urgent necessity between colleagues and for junior
students.

5. Change Management in Organizations
(3 Working days)

Objective:
Organizations have to learn how to anticipate and implement change effectively. Managers
need to find ways to overcome their employees’ natural dislike to change, because managing
change effectively can mean the difference between staying in business and becoming
irrelevant to their customers.

Organizational change is the transformation or adjustment to the way an organization

function. Organizations adjust to small changes all the time, possibly looking to improve
productivity, responding to a new regulation, hiring a new employee, or something similar.
But on top of these little adjustments, there are larger pressures that appear over us, like
competition, technology, or customer demands. Those larger pressures sometimes require
larger responses.

Participants will learn about the nature of change; main causes, methods and techniques of
managing change. Participants will understand reasons of organization changes and how to
predict and plan for change.

includes mechanical testing techniques,
metallographic investigation as well as chemical
analysis. The course includes discussion of
international specifications of metals and alloys and
how to relate results of analysis to these
specifications.

COURSE OUTLINES:
1. Mechanical Testing of metallic Products: Tension, Compression, Impact,
Shear and bending tests
2. Metallographic analysis of metals and alloys: Optical Microscopy,
Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and Transmission Electron
Microscope (TEM).
3. Chemical Analysis using X-Ray fluorescence principals
4. Crystallography and X-Ray diffraction.
5. Outlines of the American and European specifications of industrial
alloys.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

The course is of interest to scientists, engineers and senior technicians
working in the field of analysis of metals and alloys. Also, those who are
working in specifying, Purchasing, design or fabrication of such materials
may find the course of interest. The courses items might be detailed in
several other courses according to the items of interest to customers.
