BUSINESS CONCEPT

Introduction

A popcorn producing business is a very profitable one to establish anywhere in

the world. This business can be started on a small scale with little capital although a

large scale popcorn production business will provide greater profits in the future.

Cheesavour Popcorn is a plain popcorn dusted with cheddar cheese. This easily

made product is produce with only two ingredients which is the corn seeds and

powdered cheddar cheese. Cheesavour Popcorn is a comfort snack made with real

standard corn and sprinkled with cheddar cheese cooked in a little amount of oil, waiting

for it to be popped in the cooking pan.

Cheese popcorn is a very special snack, usually found in air-puffed bags or

seasonal tins, the ideally bright orange popped kernels are a perfect combination of

salty and tangy (Lower, 2020). And according to Rai (2021) the popcorn business in

India is a superb way of entering the world of entrepreneurship. Popcorn is an easy-to-

digest, airy, and scrummy snack, many people prefer to have it while watching movies,

sitting in the restaurant, in the offices, as well as in fairs. It is high in fiber, low in sugar

and fat and has also attained prominence due to its nutrient-rich value. Vitamins and

minerals such as vitamin K, vitamin A, and calcium are present in air-popped popcorn.

vii
Popcorn is a food that anyone can eat. This snack is well-known for being

suitable for both children and adults, making it both convenient and profitable. In the

Philippines, Kettle Korn is amongst the most well-known pre-made popcorn products.

(Balingit, 2022), and it is available practically everywhere. With Filipinos being fun

loving people and people who love celebrations and events, a lot of ceremonies and

occasions take place regularly, and popcorns tend to be on the menu. If this business is

properly designed, managed, and marketed, it has the potential to be a long-term

profitable venture.

The entrepreneurs chose Popcorn since it is a well-known go-to-snack. Also

the entrepreneurs believed that, for its mouth-watering flavoured taste and affordable

cost the business will surely reach to its success.

Business Objectives

1. To earn a lot of profit.

2. To deliver quality sales service and products at fair and the lowest possible

prices.

SITUATION ANALYSIS

Key Drivers

Akeychain bling: unlock your dreams has alphabet beads that make it different from the

usual keychain. They created this product because, there are only a few entrepreneurs

in our community who sell keychain.

Barriers

After analyzing this business, the owners found out that finding the right

supplier is also a dilemma most businesses in this space go the supplier/manufacturer

route, which isn't a bad thing. However, finding the right supplier can take a lot of time,

energy, and trial/error. If done properly, this process can save you months or even

years of time and energy. The motivation of employees is so challenging, planning to

have a sales/content team on board, finding creative ways to motivate them can be a

challenge. It's important that for the entrepreneurs to be able to offer great incentives

and a good work environment for the employees.

Target Market

It is expected to have a huge audience since we're going to sell it through

face-to-face interaction. Every individual living in Purok Pag-asa, Urban Poor Kingking,

Pantukan, Davao de Oro is our priority, so everyone can enjoy our cheesy popcorn.

Competition

xv
The planned location or space is already crowded and competition is high

when it comes to the popcorn business, so it's important that the owners spend a good

amount of time analyzing the market and understanding where the demand lies.

SWOT Analysis

SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) analysis is a

framework used to evaluate a company's competitive position and to develop strategic

planning. SWOT analysis assesses internal and external factors, as well as current and

future potential.

Strengths Weaknesses

- Ability to sell product - Limited start-up cost

- Prices are affordable - Competitors can offer similar

- Acquisition of additional capital by other competitors
- Development of the product
