refusing to return his belongings.

Tunde and Yaya arrive at where the touts are known to gather.
Nervously, they approach the group, who eye them with curiosity.

( Imploringly )

The touts exchange glances, unsure of how to react. Finally, one


of them steps forward, and talk

LEAD TOUT
( Sympathetically )

As per say the thing they worthless to me.And you
Did not return within one hour as I Instructed.
So, I gave it to them.

Tunde wears a very sad look.

TOUT 2

Relief washes over Tunde and Yaya's faces, grateful for this
small ray of hope.

They quickly make their way to find the boys.

INT. SHADE'S HOUSE - LIVING ROOM - DAY

Shade grieves her father's lifeless body, tears streaming down


her face. She picks up her phone to Tunde but it's switched off.
She quivers with sadness, gazing at her father's still form. The
room is silent, except for her quiet sobs.

She picks up her phone again and tries to call Tunde but it's
switched off.
EXT. STREETS - DAY-CONT’D

Tunde and Yaya walk briskly down the bustling streets, their eyes
scanning the surroundings, searching for any sign of the boys.
They exchange anxious glances, their hearts pounding with
anticipation.

Finally, they spot the boys standing near a street corner, their
faces betraying a mix of surprise and apprehension as Tunde and
Yaya approach them.

TUNDE
(angry and desperate) You!
Give me back my wallet!
You have no idea what you've
done to me!

The boys exchange nervous glances, hesitating for a moment. One


of them reaches into his pocket and pulls out the wallet,
reluctantly handing it over.

Tunde snatches the wallet, hastily rummaging through its contents


to find the ticket. He scans it quickly and finds it.
YAYA How
far? Is the slip
still inside?

TUNDE
( Happy ) Yes

YAYA

Tunde and Yaya begin to head to the betting shop when they are
intersected by a group of familiar faces.

GAMBLER 1
(Smiling mischievously)

TUNDE

(Recognises them)

Tunde walks about forward toward the gambler and acts like he's
about to give him something, he kicks up as much dirt as he can
and tells Yaya to run. Yaya and Tunde run as fast as they can,
weaving through shops with the guys chasing them. Tunde sees a
close space and pulls Yaya into it.

YAYA
Guy, I'm tired, how are we going to do it
now? You have to get to the shop.

TUNDE
We have to evade them and sneak out way past to
shop.

They see the gambler telling his friends where to search.

YAYA
Guy, I have an idea. Give me your wallet
I'll distract them, you go to the shop and
check the game.

TUNDE
That's dangerous, what if they hurt you?

YAYA
No worry, no be streets I be. I go take them
go those touts wey no want give us the slip
at first, them go help me. Oya get ready.

TUNDE
Okay, be careful.

Yaya steps out and calls the attention of the gamblers, waving
the wallet. He begins to run and they follow him. Tunde comes out
and runs in the opposite direction towards the betting shop.Tunde
heads to the betting shop hastily.

INT.GAMBLING SHOP - DAY-CONT’D


Tunde rushes into the gambling shop, clutching the ticket tightly
in his hands. His eyes search frantically for the counter.

He reaches the counter, breathless, and presents the ticket to


the CASHIER.

TUNDE
( hopeful )
How far? I don see my ticket, Please help
Me check this game.

The cashier types the ticket number on her computer, then shakes
her head with a sympathetic look.

CASHIER
( sincerely )
I'm sorry,
sir.
You lost the game.

TUNDE
( Defeated )
No...No …. How is this
possible?
Overwhelmed by a mix of emotions, Tunde collapses to the floor,
tears streaming down his face. He clutches the worthless ticket,
feeling the weight of guilt and regret.

Tunde's mind races as he replays his past mistakes and battles


with addiction.

Tunde is with some groups of boys in the street, playing rolling
dice gamble.

INT.TUNDE'S APARTMENT - NIGHT


Tunde sits at the same cluttered table, surrounded by betting
slips and empty beer bottles. His face displays a mix of
frustration and despair as he tears up a losing ticket.

INT.GAMBLING SHOP - NIGHT


Bright lights and the sound of slot machines fill the air. Tunde
stands at a roulette table, his eyes fixed on the spinning wheel.
His hands tremble with anticipation as he places a large bet.

INT. POLICE STATION - DAY

Tunde's memories take him to a time when he resorted to stealing


money meant for the electricity bill from his fellow Tenant. His
desperate gamble ends in failure, and other tenants, betrayed and
furious, report him to the POLICE. We find Tunde in a cramped
cell, his freedom stripped away.

END FLASHBACK

BACK TO THE PRESENT:


Tunde's face reveals a mix of anguish, shame, and regret. The
weight of his past actions

INT. BETTING SHOP - DAY

Tunde's resolve strengthens as he breaks free from his


suffocating thoughts. He rises from the floor, wiping away tears.
His determination shines through as he grabs his phone, only to
realize it's dead.

He swiftly rushes out of the betting shop.

INT. TUNDE'S FAMILY HOME - LIVING ROOM - DAY - CONT’D

Tunde rushes through the front door, a mix of panic and


anticipation on his face. He freezes as he enters the living
room, his eyes widening in disbelief as he meets his father
lifeless.

TUNDE
( Broken )
No... No!

Tunde's father lies motionless on the couch, covered with a


shroud. The room is filled with an eerie silence, shattered only
by Tunde's heavy breathing.

Tunde's knees buckle beneath him, and he crumples to the ground,


his body trembling with grief. He reaches out a trembling hand,
touching the shroud gently.
TUNDE
(choked voice)
Dad... I'm so sorry. It's
all my fault. I've failed
you as a son. Just the same
I failed my late mother

Tears stream down Tunde's face as he clings to the shroud, his


voice trembling with anguish.

TUNDE
( whispering )
I should have been there for you.
But I let my addiction consume me,
and now... you're gone.

He struggles to catch his breath, his body shaking uncontrollably


with grief. His voice cracks with sorrow as he speaks, his words
filled with a deep sense of remorse.

TUNDE
( regretful )
I wasted precious time
Chasing empty dreams.

I wish I could turn back


time, undo the mistakes
I've made. I wish I could
show you the man I could
have been, the son you
deserved.
Tunde sniffs
TUNDE CONT’D But all I can
do now is carry this weight of
guilt and promise to change, to
break free from this darkness
that has consumed me.

Sobs wrack Tunde's body as the weight of guilt crushes his


spirit. He clings to his father's lifeless form, unable to bear
the weight of his tragic demise.
