Allow the children to share their ideas and write these down on the Concept Map.
 Slide Show (The teacher will show some pictures depicting taking care of the environment)

Guided Activity:
 The teacher will post a chart on the board with pictures that shows how to take care of the
environment and some are showing destroying the environment. Let the learner identify the
picture. Call some learners to put a check on the picture that shows taking care of the
environement and put an x to the picture that shows destroying the environment.
Teacher gives instructions on how to do the activities, answers any questions, and tells the learners to join their group and do the assigned task.

3. Tell them to put the pictures of biodegrable in the box labeled
malata, non-biodegradable in the box labeled dili-malata, and the
recyclable at the box labeled botelya/plastic.
Group 2 – Restoring Emang Engkantada’s Garden

Competencies:
• PNEKP-IIa-7 – Identify/name common plants
• PNEKP-IIb-8 – Group plants according to certain characteristics (kind)
• PNEKE-00-4 – Identify simple ways of taking care of the environment

Materials: diorama of Emang Engkantada’s garden, miniature of trees, flowers,


and animals

Procedure: 1. Tell the learners to help Pol Putol in restoring Emang Engkantada’s
garden.
2. Tell them to put the plants according to the number. For number 1 – they
will put the trees, number 2 – fruits, number 3 – vegetables and for
number 4 – flowers.
Group 3 – Color The Pictures That Shows Taking Care of The Environment

Competencies:
• KMKPKom-00-4 – Napananatiling malinis ang kapaligiran sa pamamagitan ng pagtulong sa
mga simpleng gawain tulad ng pagwawalis ng bakuran, pagtapon ng basura sa tamang lalagyan
atbp.
• KPMKPKom-00-5 – Naipakikita ang pagtulong at pangangalaga sa kapaligiran, halimbawa,
pagdidilig ng halaman, pag-aalis ng mga damo at kalat, hindi pagsira ng halaman, at pag-
aalaga sa mga hayop

Materials: chart, crayons

Procedure: 1. Tell the learners to identify the pictures.


2. Tell them to color the pictures that shows taking care of the environment.
