⦁ Call 1-866-487-2365 for Dept of labor between 8am and 8pm ET

⦁ ask to speak with someone about whether you have been legally
wronged/discriminated against (they will need to talk to you about what occured, and
determine if any labor laws have been violated, and if so which, and how to pursue an
investigation from there.)

⦁ recap of what has happened. this can be events that have occurred between the two of
you which have created a hostile work environment, the direct and targeted slur she
called you, etc.

⦁ make sure to mention the fact that the "resolution" management gave you was telling
you to just get over it and that we practically had to force them to even so much as take
a statement to begin with. (mentioning there is a statement on file means they can just
pull it from there as evidence if an investigation is pursued vs having to contact me for a
statement, and if it dissappears suddenly then the employer is REALLY in trouble.)

⦁ this is annecdotal, but you can mention you believe the reason for the disciplinary
inaction is on account of billy and the person harrassing you having a previous romantic
situation, this is hear-say though and theyll probably also tell you this, unless you can
get billy to admit it himself, it wont be worth much, however i have heard this from a
trusted and reliable individual who i believe fully.

⦁ Workers in the US are protected from discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex
(including pregnancy, sexual orientation, or gender identity), national origin, age (40 or
older), disability and genetic information (including family medical history). if you feel
you have been a target of discrimination on any of these grounds be sure to mention it.

⦁ In the US it is illegal for an employer to take any retaliatory action against a worker for
filing a complaint regarding this sort of stuff, its also illegal for them to retaliate because
you went to the dept of labor, aclu, etc, so if you feel you have been retaliated against
since filing the complaint against lisa/calling the dept of labor, mention that too.

⦁ the important thing to remember during all this is that they are going to be assessing
how well they can build a case for inconsistent treatment, from today forward, any
events that occur you feel fit the above, DOCUMENT IT. having a list of incident reports
with dates and approximate times is a very powerful way to build a case.
