Course: Introduction to Digital Marketing (DMMA 102)

Project Outline
Part 1 - Imagine you are the marketing director for a high-street fashion retailer:

a) Suggest how you would evaluate the threats posed by online retailers.
b) Outline and justify the objectives you would set for a digital strategy designed to
combat these threats.

Part 2 - You work for an FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods) brand and are attending an industry
trade show where you see a presentation about the next-generation (5G) mobile phones, which
are due to launch in your country in one year’s time. You need to decide whether your
organization adopts the new phone and if so, when. Complete the following:
1. How would you assess the significance of this new technology?
2. Summarize the proposition of the new access devices for both consumers and your
organization.
3. What recommendations would you make about when to adopt and which services to offer?

➢ The hard copy of your project should be submitted in the class until the last session of
the class. There will be no extension. At the same time, the soft copy in the Microsoft
Word format must be submitted on Moodle. The hardcopy without submitting the soft
copy will not be graded. (In order to check the similarity, the soft copy is needed!!!)

➢ Save your word file as Student no._Name_Surname (in this order!) and then submit on
Moodle.

➢ Your project must contain:


• A title page includes (course name and code, your name and surname, Your
student number, your program)
• Main body of text

• References (should be placed after the main text)

➢ All projects should be thoroughly proofread. The projects must be typed (Times New
Romans, 12-point font), double spaced.

➢ Format: Free (no specific format). Just like a standard scientific project, your project
must be divided into sections in bold (All of the above-mentioned questions should be
developed as separate sections with a relevant heading orderly).

➢ Acts of plagiarism will not be tolerated. The acceptable level of similarity is maximum
40 percent and below. If your similarity percentage is more than 70 percent,
automatically without checking the contents of your submission, the grade will be
"ZERO". The submissions with similarity rates between 40-70 percent, lose a part of the
total grade based on the percentage.
