Moreover, Diabetes is a widespread metabolic disease that affects 6% of the world’s population.
It is a major public health problem. In 3 to 7% of the population suffers from diabetes. As of 2015, 415
million people are diabetic.
Traditionally, different parts of Alstonia scholaris are well known for their widespread medicinal
properties. Dita (Alstonia scholarsis) Bark has found to have Vitamin C and Vitamin B components which
help the body to fight diabetes.

And with those reasons, we, the researchers have thought of making an alternative for the high-priced
medication by seeking for the anti-hyperglycemic effect of Dita Bark.

Significance: (1) This study will be of use to diabetic people who have financial problems and can’t afford
to buy medications. (2) Will help to control blood sugar (3) and thus lessens the population of the people
who have diabetes.

-It will be beneficial to the community as the tree can be found in the country

-To the Pharmaceutical Industry as the results of the study may become a useful source of antidiabetic
compound? for drug manufacturers.

-And to the researchers and future researchers because this study will attribute the welfare of the
society and will serve as related literature for future studies.

Conceptual Framework: The conceptual framework is presented in an IV DV or the Independent and

Dependent Variable. Whereas dita bark aqueous extract is the IV because it is the one being
manipulated, and alloxan-induced albino rats are the DV because they will serve as the specimen.

rats. DV is also the level of sugar

Research Questions: The study will specifically answer the questions:

1. What will be the final/initial effect of this study in the health of diabetic people?
 2. What is the significant different in the blood glucose level of albino rats before and
after the treatments per dosage.
