FIRST WEEK WPR FROM JUNE 3 TO JUNE 9 2023

I was assigned a variety of assignments and duties from June 3 until June 9, 2023, which
gave me the opportunity to obtain practical experience with the legal system and improve my
comprehension of courtroom procedures.
Taking in Court Events

a. I participated in a number of court appearances, mostly in the criminal and civil divisions.
This gave me important new perspectives on the procedures, including how hearings were
conducted, what judges and solicitors did, and how legal principles were used.
b. I actively observed the relationships, strategies, and witness cross-examination between
the prosecution and Defence counsel. This experience has improved my understanding of the
value of persuasive advocacy and the nuances of argumentation.

Legal Analysis and Research:

a. I helped the senior associates with their legal research for active cases. This required
examining pertinent statutes, cases, and precedents using a variety of legal databases
and resources.

b. I drafted briefs and case summaries that outlined the main details, legal concerns,
and arguments made. The team used these summaries to develop legal opinions and
get ready for hearings.

Drafting Legal Documents:

a. I drafted a number of legal documents, including petitions, affidavits, and legal opinions,
while working under supervision. I was able to hone my writing abilities while sticking to the
required structure and legal specifications thanks to these drafting tasks.

b. I received helpful criticism from the senior associates, which enabled me to enhance my
drafting methods and assure the accuracy and clarity of legal writing.

Courtroom Observations and Conversations:

a. With the senior associates, I took an active role in post-hearing discussions where we
discussed the arguments made, the judges' answers, and the ramifications of the court's
rulings.

b. These debates gave me important insights into how legal ideas are applied in real-world
situations and how judges arrive at their decisions.

I am delighted with the development I have made overall during my first week in the
Rajasthan High Court. The chance to work with seasoned legal practitioners and be exposed
to real-world legal situations had been helpful to my development as an aspiring lawyer.
