1. What is the main function of the Department of Tourism?
- The Department of Tourism’s main function is the country’s tourism industry. Its job is to
develop, encourage, and promote the country’s tourism capabilities.
2. What are the functions of The Philippine Convention and Visitor’s Corporation (PCVC)?
- The PCVC promotes the Philippines as a tourist and a convention and incentive travel
destination. They also work with the private sector in the planning and implementation of its
marketing activities. The PCVC supports socio-cultural oriented projects that help increase
employment, promote environmental consciousness, and heighten cultural awareness.
