Research shows cybersecurity awareness training is the single most effective approach

organizations can implement to prevent data breaches or becoming victimized by

ransomware. A consistent training program for all employees enables the University System
of Georgia (USG) to develop a meaningful understanding of our risks and communicate
them to state government leaders, underwriters, bond rating agencies and regulatory
agencies. As such, all USG employees are required to complete training currently offered by
KnowBe4, an industry leader in cybersecurity training. This system-wide training aligns with
the direction of state government agencies.
