Creating passwords

Never use personal information in your

• Minimum length should be 14 characters

• Your password needs to have a combination of

all the following requirements:
• Uppercase characters (A through Z);
• Lowercase characters (a through z);
• Numbers (0 through 9); and
• Non-alphabetic special characters (for
example, !, $, #, %).
Mandatory Password Reset

UJ cares about your information. Please note you will be

required to change your login passwords regularly.

Please scan the QR Code or go the url below for steps to help you on
resetting your password: https://ulink.uj.ac.za/files/pwd23.pdf
Multi-Factor Authentication

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is an electronic authentication method which

requires you to log in using two different mechanisms (devices).

In UJ's case, this would mean using your UJ network password along with
authenticating via an app on your smartphone (or a verification code sent to you
via SMS).

Find the links for more information about Multi-Factor Authentication

below:

• Click on the link here to the steps to enable MFA on your UJ account
