In recent years there has been an increase in the production of

and demand for higher level Chinese course books. This is due both to the rise in the number of
schools studying Chinese and to the deepening interest in Chinese in the world in general.

Edexcel, the examining board has revised its A level examinations to incorporate new tests of

- M.A. P.G.C.E. Post-grad. Diploma in modern Chinese.
- Studied languages at the Universities of London, Reading, Toronto, Southern California
(San Diego), and Thames Valley. Taught in secondary schools in the UK and latterly a
visiting lecturer in the Business School of the Buckinghamshire Chilterns University
College.
