Teenagers consist of individuals who are constantly up to date with the new trends, made up countless

fashion statements. However, there has been some concerns about the mainstreams which teens used
to discover the trends.
Teenagers spend most of their time with friends and peers at school, so it’s doubtless that teens mostly
keep up with the latest fashion through observations at the people surrounding them. The young
generation tends to imitate anything they see others have and are quick to follow trends for them to fit
in. Not being able to follow the current trend will make them feel pressured for looking different from
the peers. This can have a negative impact on their mental health, as well as the need to be in line.
Moreover, the young generation has early access to electronic devices which are becoming the most
crucial part of their daily lives and spend most of their time engaging with information online.
Knowing this, some celebrities decided to create their own fashion statement, making it unique and
out of this world. Teenagers have the tendency to follow every single motive of the celebrities and so
on. Every new feature the influencers dropped out will be the next big thing and is quickly responded
by the teens keeping up with it.
In conclusion, both friends and new technology have impacted significantly on the way trends are
shown towards teenagers. Nevertheless, the influence peer pressure has on the young people are more
likely to lead them to following new trends, whereas for new technology, it is not definite that
everyone would be affected by the trends settled by famous people
