Course Objective

The objective of MS Excel course is to make students aware that Excel is a simple but
powerful spreadsheet program for entering, managing and analyzing data using user-friendly
menus and functions. Excel manipulations are useful in many courses as well as in
professional life. The course also intends to encourage students to master advanced MS Excel
functions using web resources.

Significance of the course


Knowhow in MS Excel provides an added advantage in the interview process. A thorough
practice will make a student proficient in MS Excel; such people are in high demand in the
job market.

Prerequisites and Expectations
 Need to have an experience in using Windows OS at user level.
 Owns a computer that has the Microsoft Office Integrated software package installed
(Office 2000 minimum)
 Commitment to spend at least two hours per week practicing the skills introduced in
the course.
 Basic logical/computational skills
