Session Title : Refining ICT Competence of the Teachers by Learning Basic Microsoft Excel

Duration: 4 hours

Learning Objectives : TERMINAL OBJECTIVE:


Applying functions and tools in Microsoft Excel, teachers will furnish a well-organized school form that contains formulas.

ENABLING OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the session, the participants will be able to:
a. Identify the basic tools and functions in Microsoft Excel.
b. Use the tools and functions in Excel to create forms with formula.
c. Appreciate the importance of improving oneself on ICT in the new normal.

Key Understanding/ Learning Points The most used spreadsheet program in many electronic forms is Microsoft Excel. It has played a vital role in performing formula based
arithmetic and calculations, and other activities that may require mathematical calculations. Teachers and school staff should be
knowledgeable on using Microsoft Excel when making school reports such as School Forms 1 to 8, liquidation forms, and others.
Understanding on the MS Excel is vital in schools for the purpose of proficiency. Hence, if one is proficient in creating or coming up
with Excel, it is considered as asset to a given school.
