1 Summary
This installation procedure will cover the assembling the retrofit kit, for convert the CJC HDU 15/25 fine filter to a HDU
15/50 fine filter. The necessary parts are supplied as a complete kit, except for the 15/50 filter insert, this is ordered
separately.
With this upgrade, The e motor of the CJC fine filter unit must be changed for the E – motor PV 4p 3 phase IE3, supplied in
the same delivery, see in the Picture Nº2 the position of that.

ASSEMBLING THE CJC® RETROFIT

FOR HDU 15/50
1. Upon arriving at the wind turbine, make sure the wind turbine is stopped and
put in service mode.
Make the necessary safety arrangements required for the site.

2. Locate the work zone at the gearbox and.
Apply the filter insert change procedure, drain the oil inside de fine filter
Unit, Retire the used filter insert and dry the bottom of the lower filter
housing

Before fitting the new extension bolt to the existing stay bolt, clean the
thread on the existing stay bolt so that the free thread is free of
impurities and oil.
The extension bolt is mounted on the thread of existing stay bolt,
remember use the supplied glue on the threaded connection, to ensure
the extension bolt does not come loose during use.
NOTE: Now the new 15/50 filter insert can be mounted and change the
O-ring between the filter`s housings

Remove the plug at the top of the filter cover and fit the pressure gauge
or the test coupling, use the supplied glue to secure against leaks or that
the pressure gauge/test coupling becomes loose during operation.
Mount the 90º elbow on the nozzle placed at the top of the filter cover.
Hereafter mount the hose for continuous air vent on the 90º elbow
NOTES: Remember to connect the continuous air vent hose after the
elbow has been mounted.
Reuse the existing top nut to assemble the filter housing and the filter
cover, replace de bonded seal.
Remove the pressure gauge or test coupling from the HDU 15/25 cover
and mount it on the new 15/50 cover, use glue to ensure a tight
connection.

Remove the old Drain Valve for the bottom of the lower filter housing
and replace for the New Drain Valve kit
The connector MBSP 3/8” x MJ ½”, must be placer in the Drain port of
the lower housing and them, connect the Rest of the Kit like shows the
imagen at the right.

The new E-motor must be install on the pump, after remove the old one,
Pulling out the 04 parker bolts that bind the e-motor with the pump.
The new e-motor must be connect in star mode, for 690V.
NOTE: remember that the right sense of rotation of the pump for the
correct suction of that, is counterclockwise. Place the stick arrow
supplied on the top of the E-motor venting.
WARNING
RISK OF ELECTRICUTION
 Make sure work in electrical cabinets or motor junction boxes is always conducted with
power turned off. Check by measurement device before connecting or disconnecting
electrical equipment.
9. Make sure that power to the top box supply is off.
10. Route the power cable from the filter motor beneath the gearbox, along the
cable duct/tray. Bring the power cable into the top box cabinet from below
and lead it to the circuit breaker.
Connect the phases.
