Dear Davor,

Hope you are doing well.

Last thursday we with @Vitaliy Zadavin , @Nikolay Makarov and @Najmaddin
Bashirzada were in meeting with  Socar Polymer technical team. One of the main points of the
meeting was about the increasing of DeposiTrol BL6501 consumption. So, in the last 3 months ,
DeposiTrol BL6501 consumption has increased in compared to the previous months. Results of
STP and Phosphonates are in range. Based on prior experience on average 1 ibc depositrol used
per month , but now more than 2 ibc are used monthly.
We think that, because of the phosphonate is hydrolyzed, some of it is converted to
orthophosphate, and therefore additional orthophosphate is created in the system. Also, I would
like to inform you that Flogard is consumed 1 IBC per two months. What could be the causes of
depositrol depletion in the system ?
System parameters are :
Recirculation water – 8000 m3/h
Make-up water - 100-130 m3/h
Dt- 2.5- 5 Celsius
CoC – 1.5-2.5
Additonally ,i would like note that, blowdown valve they maintain manually depending on
conductivity of return water.Recently make up water source has been changed and conductivity
decreased from 620 to 380 (microsiemens per centimeter)
Ranges for actives are :
STP – [6-8] ppm
Orthophosphate- [6-8] ppm
Phosphonate- [4.6-6.2] ppm
Additional datas you can see in attached excel file. Your response is highly appreciated.
