organization in the proper order of complexity with 80% accuracy on an end of
unit exam.
o BIO.B.4.1.1, After the review TSWBAT state and define terms and process of
science covered during the unit with 80% accuracy on an end of unit exam.
 Teaching Procedures (44 min)
o Anticipatory Set (2 min)
 Have the students get out their Chrome books and go to Nearpod
 Display the join code on the board
 Make sure all the students are joined into the Nearpod before starting
o Guided Practice 1 (25 min)
 Start the Case Study: Spontaneous Generation Nearpod
 Go through each slide with the students
 When there is a question have the students answer the questions,
then go over why the answer is correct
 On open-ended responses have a student or two share their answer
o Guided Practice 2 (15 min)
 Have the students do the questions at the back of their note packet
 As students work on these questions walk around and answer
questions they may have
o Closure (2 min)
 Remind the students that they have a test on Tuesday
 Remind the students to keep studying and that all summaries and
questions are due at the time of the test on Tuesday
