Angel,

In my last email, I talked to you about the colour. What now? You guessed it. It’s
your wardrobe. What do you typically wear on a day-to-day basis?

If you’re into variety and you’re an adventurous type dressing may not be much
of a challenge for you. If you’re not into shopping and don’t enjoy dressing up in
the morning then listen up.

By now, you know your colour and at least you know you should avoid wearing
black all the time. You’ll need to slowly replace black stuff with your key colours
so that whatever you match up it works for you based on your colour palette.
The next thing is your overall cut/style.

Clearly, I cannot give you general advice – sweeping statement that could help
y’all. So I’m sharing one story that could give you an idea of how I go about
helping clients with their branding.

Meet Dr Kate Raynes-Goldie.

Her wardrobe story is all too familiar. In the images I saw of her before our photo
shoot, she was often wearing black and soft knit pieces that didn’t have any
structure around her shoulders. Long black cardigan is often a ‘go-to’ for many
women. Sadly, it didn’t work for her.

Especially, in Kate’s scenario, she regularly gives speeches at conferences

which are often a male-dominated environment. The last thing she needs as a
technology / cutting edge VR and game designer is looking too feminine.

My parting wardrobe tip for her after the photo shoot with me:

blazers that give her shoulder (this is what I call invisible shields against
overwhelming mescaline energy in a conference room)
trousers/pants (high tech rock climbing types which incidentally made her
look funky ) instead of skirts or dresses
Avoid black and go for grey, marl, charcoal. with those minor changes, she
got herself ‘badass’ (her own words) photos using her own accessories
including a super-cool watch.

We are so close to completing your workbook. There’s one more tip to share
with you. The last one is for tomorrow!

By the way, how are you travelling with the workbook PDF? If you're still unsure
of certain aspects of your personal brand - specifically what it could mean for
you - it's not your fault. We were never taught this at school. Yet, as
professionals, we are often expected to know all that and more. Blast!

If you'd like to discuss your branding challenges feel free to hit reply to this email
or book a call with me - only if you're serious about your brand building. :)
