SK SUPER TMT
INDUSTRY PROFILe
The steel industry in India is among the
most important industries in the country. In 2019,
India became the second largest steel producer in
the world surpassing Japan. India’s finished steel
consumption is anticipated to increase manifold in
2030-31. Read here to know the history and growth
of the steel industry in India.
Metal consumption has been one of the
main driving causes behind Industrialization.
Steel has long held the top position
among metals. Steel is both a raw material and an
intermediary product, therefore its production and
consumption are commonly used as indicators of a
nation’s economic success.
Therefore, it would not be overstating the
case to say that the steel industry is the backbone
of any economy and has always been at the
forefront of industrial advancement.

TYPE OF STUDY-
A academic and Descriptive study.
OBJECTIVES-
➢ Academic study.
➢ To understand customer
satisfaction and influencing
factors in case of the Study.
DATA COLLECTION-
Primary Data-
On the company and the dealer is collected by the
visits of the students observation and the discussions with the
officials of the dealer. Primary data in job satisfaction is collected
by personal interview with the customer respondents.
Secondary Data-
On the industry and customer satisfaction
theory is availed from the internet and textbooks.
Analysis-
Collected data and information in analyzed
qualitatively, quantitatively and complied properly and
presented.
Limitations-
➢Time limit of one month.
➢Busy scheduled of the employer.
➢Response errors may be there.
THEORY AND LITERATURE
WHY IS TMT USED IN CONSTRUCTION:
“When building your house, you want it to
not only be beautiful, but also strong. Plain
concrete, which is strong in compression, is very
weak in tension and therefore does not prove to be
a very good structural member by itself. However, it
can be made extremely useful by reinforcing it with
a material like TMT, which has the desired ductility
and bond characteristics”
UNDERSTANDING TMT:
➢Strength/grade of steel-
The term tensile strength refers
to the amount of Tensile(stretching) stress a
material can withstand before breaking/falling.
➢Elongation of steel-
A mechanical property of steel that is
the degree to which a steel may be bent,
stretched/compressed before it ruptures.
➢Section weight-
Directly Effects the cost of construction as
steel is purchased in kg’s and used in feet. The
lesser the weight more length will be available to
use it.
➢Bend test-
To evaluate both the Ductility and Soundness
of a material.
product’S MANUFACTURED:-
➢ Channel.
➢ Angel.
➢ Tube.
➢ Pipes.
➢ TMT bars.
2. XTRA GRIP
SK Super TMT’S Patented Robo-Rib
pattern, ensures highest AR values,
maximum bonding with concrete.
3. 18% elongation
The single most important factor which
determines safety of building construction.
The elongated after yield strength and
before ultimate tensile strength phase
is18% min.
4. EQR
The ideal combination of strength and
flexibility offers the safest plan against
earthquakes, UTS:YS ratio is more than
1.15 min.

INTRODUCTION:
The marketing department plays a
vital role in promoting the business and mission of
an organization. It serves as the face of your
company, co-ordination and producing all materials
representing the business. It is the marketing
department’s job to reach out to prospects,
customers, investors and /the community, while
creating an overarching image that represents your
company in a positive light.
SUPPLY CHAIN:
➢ Manufacturing.
➢ Supplier.
➢ Dealer.
➢ Consumer/Customer.
➢ Corrosion Resistance
SK Super TMT adopts a 4-stage endurance
process. Endurance process is the result of a real-
time chemical analysis and a elimination of
impurities which makes the TMT bars corrosion
resistant, which means the structural engineers get
peace of mind about the durability of the steel used
used in construction.
MANUFACTURING PROCESS-
The process of manufacturing TMT
bars and selling them to the final customer.
ADVERTISING MEDIA-
The process of promoting goods
and building brand image in customers mind.
Manufacturing process of tmt
bars:
The full form of TMT bar/Rebar is Thermo
Mechanically Treated bars. We all know that TMT
bars are essential for all type of construction
purposes but it is also important to know how it is
made.
Best Quality TMT Bars:
These pass through series of
processes that determines the strength and
flexibility of it. The manufacturing process of TMT
bar involves series of processes like – Rolling, Water
quenching, Heat treatment, Cooling at various
stages of manufacturing.
➢BILLET
PROCESS OF MANUFACTURING-
➢CASTING OF BILLETS-
Molten raw iron from the heating furnace is
then casted into billet casting machine for billets to
be produced by way of continuous casting method.
Once casted the billets are cut in desired lengths.
Continuous casting of the billets ensures uniform
quality throughout the lot of material produced at
one time.
➢ROLLING PROCESS-
The billets with the help of rolling conveyers
are made to pass through the first stand i.e. roughing
stand. With this, the procedure for the gradual
reduction in size of billet begins. Following the
roughing mill the size of the billet is further reduced
in the intermediate and finishing mill. The gradual
reduction of the billet is an important factor to
ensure finer grain structure of the bar. The rolling of
the billet continues until the desired size of bar is got.
➢QUENCHING PROCESS-
Directly after the last rolling mill stand, the
steel bar receives a short, intensive cooling as it
passes through the THERMEX watercooling system.
The reduction in temperature converts the surface
layer of steel bar to a hardened structure. This phase
of intensive cooling is followed by further cooling in
atmosphere, so that the temperature between core
(which is still hot) and the cooled surface layer is
equalized and the surface layer gets tempered from
the heat of the core. The resultant structure is
tempered marten site zone at the periphery & affine
grain ferrite structure in the central zone. So the
THERMAX rears have all the desired properties
without the need of costly alloying elements.
