Reference‌‌Letter‌‌for‌‌Gina‌‌Weber‌  ‌

To‌‌Whom‌‌It‌‌May‌‌Concern:‌  ‌

 ‌

I‌‌am‌‌writing‌‌in‌‌support‌‌of‌‌Gina‌‌Weber’s‌‌honor‌‌and‌‌distinction‌‌as‌‌Bullitt‌‌County‌‌Public‌‌School’s‌‌

Teacher‌‌of‌‌the‌‌Year.‌‌I‌‌have‌‌worked‌‌closely‌‌with‌‌Gina‌‌over‌‌the‌‌last‌‌year‌‌as‌‌her‌‌Digital‌‌Learning‌‌

Coach.‌‌I‌‌can‌‌attest‌‌to‌‌the‌‌great‌‌leadership‌‌and‌‌instructional‌‌strengths‌‌she‌‌has‌‌developed‌‌during‌‌

her‌‌time‌‌as‌‌an‌‌educator.‌‌She‌‌is‌‌continuously‌‌trying‌‌to‌‌improve‌‌her‌‌teaching‌‌practice,‌‌seeks‌‌out‌‌

professional‌‌resources‌‌and‌‌collaborates‌‌effectively‌‌with‌‌others‌‌to‌‌ensure‌‌all‌‌kids‌‌exceed‌‌their‌‌

potential.‌‌Gina’s‌‌flexible‌‌teaching‌‌philosophy‌‌and‌‌the‌‌relational‌‌impact‌‌she‌‌has‌‌on‌‌her‌‌students‌‌

proves‌‌how‌‌deserving‌‌she‌‌is‌‌of‌‌this‌‌recognition.‌‌
   ‌

 ‌

Before‌‌becoming‌‌a‌‌Digital‌‌Learning‌‌Coach,‌‌I‌‌collaborated‌‌and‌‌worked‌‌with‌‌Gina‌‌through‌‌our‌‌

third-grade‌‌Cloud‌‌Academy‌‌PLC.‌‌Gina‌‌always‌‌shared‌‌engaging‌‌resources‌‌with‌‌the‌‌team‌‌and‌‌

made‌‌sure‌‌to‌‌ask‌‌questions‌‌to‌‌improve‌‌the‌‌Cloud‌‌Academy‌‌experience‌‌for‌‌all‌‌of‌‌us.‌‌She‌‌was‌‌

willing‌‌to‌‌volunteer‌‌herself‌‌to‌‌completely‌‌change‌‌how‌‌she‌‌delivered‌‌instruction‌‌to‌‌students.‌‌This‌‌

also‌‌helped‌‌her‌‌develop‌‌a‌‌great‌‌attitude‌‌of‌‌being‌‌flexible‌‌and‌‌willing‌‌to‌‌learn‌‌new‌‌strategies‌‌and‌‌

technology‌‌programs.‌‌She‌‌became‌‌an‌‌expert‌‌with‌‌teaching‌‌virtually,‌‌communicating‌‌with‌‌

students‌‌and‌‌their‌‌families,‌‌and‌‌persevered‌‌through‌‌a‌‌challenging‌‌time.‌‌Gina‌‌has‌‌taken‌‌her‌‌

experience‌‌and‌‌knowledge‌‌and‌‌adapted‌‌her‌‌in-person‌‌classroom‌‌to‌‌provide‌‌true‌‌differentiation‌‌

for‌‌her‌‌students.‌‌Her‌‌willingness‌‌to‌‌be‌‌flexible‌‌in‌‌any‌‌type‌‌of‌‌learning‌‌environment‌‌is‌‌why‌‌I‌‌think‌‌

she‌‌is‌‌a‌‌great‌‌fit‌‌for‌‌Teacher‌‌of‌‌the‌‌Year.‌  ‌
As‌‌a‌‌Digital‌‌Learning‌‌Coach,‌‌I‌‌have‌‌observed‌‌and‌‌co-taught‌‌with‌‌Gina‌‌on‌‌numerous‌‌occasions.‌ ‌I ‌‌

cannot‌‌speak‌‌more‌‌highly‌‌of‌‌the‌‌outstanding‌‌instructional‌‌qualities‌‌she‌‌emits.‌‌She‌‌is‌‌always‌‌

willing‌‌to‌‌try‌‌new‌‌resources‌‌and‌‌modify‌‌previous‌‌ones‌‌to‌‌meet‌‌the‌‌needs‌‌of‌‌her‌‌students.‌‌If‌‌she‌‌is‌‌

not‌‌an‌‌expert‌‌using‌‌a‌‌new‌‌tool‌‌of‌‌instruction,‌‌she‌‌reaches‌‌out‌‌to‌‌someone‌‌in‌‌our‌‌district‌‌that‌‌has‌‌

the‌‌knowledge‌‌and‌‌expertise‌‌so‌‌she‌‌can‌‌use‌‌new‌‌resources‌‌effectively‌‌in‌‌her‌‌classroom.‌‌Her‌‌

belief‌‌as‌‌a‌‌lifelong‌‌learner‌‌is‌‌modeled‌‌well‌‌for‌‌her‌‌students‌‌to‌‌do‌‌the‌‌same.‌‌An‌‌example‌‌of‌‌this‌‌

was‌‌when‌‌we‌‌had‌‌to‌‌switch‌‌back‌‌to‌‌NTI‌‌for‌‌a‌‌few‌‌days‌‌this‌‌year‌‌she‌‌reached‌‌out‌‌to‌‌me‌‌to‌‌make‌‌

sure‌‌all‌‌of‌‌her‌‌Google‌‌Meet‌‌settings‌‌were‌‌in‌‌working‌‌order‌‌so‌‌the‌‌virtual‌‌class‌‌could‌‌run‌‌

smoothly.‌‌She‌‌had‌‌two‌‌monitors‌‌setup‌‌in‌‌her‌‌classroom‌‌to‌‌interact‌‌with‌‌students‌‌with‌‌ease!‌‌All‌‌

she‌‌does‌‌is‌‌go‌‌above‌‌and‌‌beyond‌‌to‌‌ensure‌‌high‌‌quality‌‌learning‌‌is‌‌obtainable‌‌in‌‌all‌‌

environments.‌‌Her‌‌classroom‌‌(whether‌‌in-person‌‌or‌‌virtual)‌‌is‌‌a‌‌safe‌‌and‌‌positive‌‌place‌‌for‌‌

students‌‌to‌‌struggle‌‌and‌‌achieve‌‌greatness.‌  ‌

 ‌

I‌‌know‌‌Gina‌‌to‌‌be‌‌dependable,‌‌hard-working,‌‌collaborative,‌‌and‌‌most‌‌of‌‌all‌‌her‌‌generations‌‌of‌‌

students‌‌love‌‌having‌‌her‌‌as‌‌their‌‌teacher.‌‌She‌‌demonstrates‌‌flexibility‌‌and‌‌is‌‌willing‌‌to‌‌try‌‌

anything‌‌to‌‌get‌‌a‌‌student‌‌to‌‌learn‌‌what‌‌they‌‌need‌‌to‌‌be‌‌successful.‌‌I‌‌can‌‌confidently‌‌recommend‌‌

Gina‌‌Weber‌‌is‌‌more‌‌than‌‌deserving‌‌of‌‌Teacher‌‌of‌‌the‌‌Year‌‌for‌‌all‌‌of‌‌Bullitt‌‌County‌‌Public‌‌

Schools‌‌and‌‌beyond.‌‌   ‌

 ‌

 ‌

Sincerely,‌‌   ‌
