FAKE NEWS

To start this essay of I should first explain what even is fake news. So the term
fake news means news articles that are intentionally and verifiably false. Usually,
fake news is interesting and fun for the viewer to read and hear about and they
can easily get caught.
There are five different types of fake news. Satire or parody for fun, misleading
news that is sort of true but used in the wrong context, news that support one
side of view and they are not fully verified, news not based on facts and news that
is misleading on purpose for many reasons.
The last type of fake news is the most common in my opinion. They are mostly
made for people to make money, to get more views, to make someone look bad
in our eyes, to promote fake brands and many other reasons. Today anyone can
post and make fake news, but it on depends how well it will be spread. It depends
on how much public we have and how well we present it. Nowadays fake news is
spread easily because of social media, it can get to anyone in seconds. Another
reason is that people easily believe anyone. And that is not always fun and games,
it can cause very serious damage to someone by them being robbed, by making
someone look different from who they really are, and fake news is very rarely
positive. One of the latest fake news that I have come across is that Qatar paid
Ecuadorian players just for them to lose in the World Cup, it came across as fake
news in the end.
It is hard to spot fake news, but we should always read critically and think with
our own minds, double check every information that we think is suspicious.
