This discussion forum focusses on the influence of fake news spread by viral videos.
You will be assessing how our society is negatively affected by fake news spread
through viral videos and looking at your own media consumption of news. As part
of this discussion you will looking at a process to check videos.

1. Describe in detail how you consume news information and current events. Be
sure to think of all the places you get news information and list them. Try to
estimate how much information you get from different places. For example. You
might say you get 50% of your news information originating from Twitter posts or
from posts on Facebook or Instagram. Comment on how much of your news is
about celebrities and how much is about local and international news.

Access to information is widely easy for people nowadays may it be a reliable news or a
fake news. There are a lot of resources that people can easily look at to in order to
know some details. Among of these are the social media that we can easily browse into
with the help of internet. What is rampant now is what people can see in the social
media like facebook, they also tend to be lured easily. Most of the time, believing to
some fake news and make-believe stories are the causes of chaotic events and
misunderstandings.
Rumors and fake news are totally different from real news. Real news has strong factual
information that supports their idea. Rumors or fake news are just hearsays that were
spread using unreliable data. By knowing these differences, people will have a wider
knowledge on what to believe and what will not. Personally, videos that came from a lot
of resources are helpful to me but not all the time. 75% my news information came from
the social media facebook. This was so hard for me if facebook will have some fake
news since I totally believe that what I see is what I believe. Rumors that are so
unreliable are almost undeniable to be as true as what real stories of news are. In line
with that, I can confirm that it is not really advisable that we are easily influenced by
what some of our resources offered to us in a form of video, article, and what not.
Moreover, it is really important that we should always make up our thoughts with what is
true from fake news. With that, we need to see some important things that came from
reliable resources. It is also essential that we know how to assess information. Would it
be true or untrue? It is a very good process that assessing of information should be put
at top first. No matter how engaging a fake news are, if we know what is real form fake,
we can no longer be influenced as long as we have the knowledge. Furthermore, I find it
so good to build a habit on how I can identify fake from real news. By researching more
about a certain thing that we initially find doubtful, we can also easily get a hint about
the truth. By doing that, we can also avoid spreading fake and unreliable news. We
cannot anymore influence other people with make-believes that we got from untrue
sources. We can also educate other people on how we can successfully differentiate
these two things. With that, we can also help others to do not disseminate information
that are considered rumors.
Thus, as a whole being equipped with the information that we need to identify what is
real news from fake news, we can somehow avoid some societal dangers. Such
societal issues are talking bad things about someone since you heard and you read
some doubtful and unreliable data about that person. That instance can cause public
scandal and can definitely destroy the good relationship among the people living in the
community.

As people become more acquainted with such great opportunity having a wide access
to information, we tend to forget how to differentiate what is real and what is a true
