01 Select the right chain for the job. If in doubt- ask.

02 Make sure that the Chain is marked with the Safe Working
Load (S.W.L).
03 Check Chain before using. Report any chain, with deformed,
corroded, cracked or cut links and don’t use it.
04 Make sure that that the Chain is not kinked or twisted.

05 Required proper storage for Chains after use.

06 Use packing for chain slings also, when lifting anything with
sharp edges.
07 Is the chains expose to acids or other corrosives.

08 Never hammer the Chain to tighten the load.

09 Never leave the chains, unattended, and they can be

ill-treated.
10 Never shorten a chain by knotting it.

11 Never drop chains on hard surfaces from a considerable

height
12 Never lengthen the Chain by joining pieces together.

13 All chain slings should be tested thoroughly every six-month

and a test certificate available for the chains.
