PURPOSE STATEMENT
This document identifies HCM Redwood pages or flows that can be turned on or off
through profile options. Pages are flows that are delivered turned on we highly
suggest that these pages remain on to have the full experience of the Redwood
applications. Redwood pages delivered turned off initially you as the customer can
decide to turn on by switching the Profile Option.

About This Document
This document identifies HCM Redwood pages and flows that can be turned on or off through profile options. Pages and
flows that are delivered turned on; we highly suggest that these pages remain on to have the full experience of the Redwood
applications. Redwood pages initially delivered turned off, you as the customer can decide to turn on by switching the profile
option. This document will identify the page and flows, the navigation, whether it is delivered on or off and the profile
option.

This document also will let you know if Nudges are delivered. Nudges remind managers and employees to perform
important tasks such as scheduling check-ins, assigning goals and so on. You can configure nudges to be displayed as cards
on pages. When a nudge recipient clicks the card, they are navigated to the specific page where they can complete the task.

With this feature, you can:

• Define nudges as transaction cards for your employees and specify the criteria for triggering these nudges.
• Optionally, assign a priority for each nudge. The nudges will be displayed in the order of importance.

WHAT ARE REDWOOD PAGES OR FLOWS

Redwood is the new user experience in Oracle HCM applications. Many pages and flows have been recreated in the
Redwood toolset Visual Builder Studio (VBS) to improve the user experience by having the pages and flows be more
connected. The pages and flows identified in this document have not been through a full redesign, but they have been
modified, to look and act like the Redwood pages and flows to help create cohesiveness through the application. Many
pages and flows identified in this document have been turned on by default, as we believe that these pages would enrich the
user experience. However, some pages and flows, we have not turned on by default, because depending on your
implementation the new pages or flows may not make sense. In these cases, you may turn on the profile option in your non-
production environments to see the impacts. If there are no impacts and you would like to use the new pages, you may
enable the profile option on your production environment.

STEPS TO ENABLE REDWOOD PAGES

In order to use the Redwood pages, you must globally enable the Redwood pages using the Profile Value
ORA_HCM_VBCS_PWA_ENABLED. You also will use this process to enable specific product features using the
Profile Option Code identitfied in this document below.
To enable profile options, navigate to the Setup and Maintenance work area:
1. Search for and click Search for and click the Manage Administrator Profile Values task.
2. Search for and select the profile option you are enabling from the table below.
3. Select the Level as Site.
4. Enter a Y in the Profile Value field.
5. Click Save and Close.
