Communication skill among university student

One of the components of generic skills that are crucial for university students is
communication skills. Students will have encountered circumstances requiring
communication
skills both inside and outside of lecture halls throughout their time in college, such as group
projects and oral presentations in class. As a result, this paper's objective is to look into how
well university students can communicate. A self-administered questionnaire was used to test
communication abilities. It evaluated eleven aspects of communication skills, including oral,
written, and social behavior.
Communication skills are components of generic skills that have been identified as a focus at
the universities (Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi Malaysia, 2006). Although there are several
components to generic skills, communication skills will be the focus of this study.
Communication abilities are crucial, especially when looking for work. The new graduate
would be tested on their communication during their job interviews. Additionally, businesses
currently give basic skills and dispositions a lot of consideration when employing new
workers. Therefore, universities and faculties have to ensure that students are equipped with
the ability to communicate clearly and effectively (Zanaton Haji Iksan, 2013). One of a
group of common talents that universities have previously identified as a focus is effective
communication. While fundamental talents provide a wide range of qualities, this study will
focus on effective communication capabilities ( Dr. Shagufta N Ansari, 2022 ).
