Teacher Standards for the UAE

The Teacher Standards for the UAE have been developed to ensure teachers, at different career
stages, can demonstrate professional competence that align with the aspirations of the UAE Vision
2021 and international best practice.

This document includes the Standards and Elements which are further elaborated through
Performance Criteria. The Standards detail the specific expectations pertaining to all teachers and
are set to accomplish a first-rate education system.
