Multi-purpose Additives 1 and 2 are fine white pozzolanic powders used to enhance various cement properties.
MPA-1 and MPA-2 are functional at temperatures of 32°F (0°C) to over 400°F (204°C), and can be used in
foamed lightweight, normal, and heavyweight cement designs. Concentrations range from 1 to 30% BWOC. The
specific gravity of MPA-1 and MPA-2 is 2.6.

Features

The MPA products are highly reactive, processed pozzolans, that when added to portland cement, produce a
number of beneficial effects. These effects include:
Reduced Permeability
MPA-1 and MPA-2 react with the calcium hydroxide liberated during Portland cement hydration to form calcium
aluminate and calcium silicate products, which accelerate the bonding phase for the cement matrix.
Enhanced Compressive Strength Development
MPA-1 and MPA-2 both significantly increase the compressive strength of the cement.
Improved Sulfate Resistance
MPA-1 and MPA-2 limit the alkali-silica reaction producing an increased sulfate resistance.
Increased Tensile and Flexural Strength
Tensile
MPA-1 and MPA-2 improve the flexural and tensile strength of the cement producing a more ductile set product.
Gas Control
MPA-1 and MPA-2 help minimize gas migration through the cement matrix.
