Detailed Lesson Plan in Anatomy and

physiologyI. learning Objectives

At the end of the period the students should be able to: A.
understand the main organs and its function of respiratory system
andcirculatory system in the human body sytem.

B.explain the inner workings of the respiratory system and

circulatorysystemC.determine methods for identifying and
preventing disorders of therespiratory and cardiovascular systems.D.
create a Venn diagram comparing and contrasting the circulatory
andrespiratory systems with at least three unique characteriscs for
each and two things they have in common.

Students Activity

 A.Routine/Normalization
“Good morning class.” “Please keep silent for one minute and sayyour personal
prayers.” “How are you today?”“For what reason could it be?”“Well to know that,
let’s start the ballrolling. By the way class who is absent fortoday?”“Good morning
teacher.”(students will pray)“We are feeling excited and nervousat the same time
teacher.”“Because it seems to be a hardlesson for today teacher”“None teacher.

“Excellent. Pick up the paper from underyour chairs, straighten your chairs,
andmake sure you're in the right place.”B . M o t i v a t i o n “I emailed you a sample
of a KWL tablelast night and requested you to recreate it. AKWL table is a space
where you can recordyour previous knowledge. K stands forwhat you KNOW, W
stands for what youWANT to know, and L stands for whatyou've LEARNED. I'm
assuming you'vealready completed the K and W sectionsaccording to my
instructions. Now for the Lsection, do it after class and we'll go over itif you've
learned anything. Is that clear?” “Yes teacher”“Let's start with a short activity to
refreshyour memory of the respiratory andcirculatory systems from your
previouslesson. Are you prepared? “(Present a ppt presentation about the modelof
the respiratory and circulatory systems. )“Here is the model of respiratory
andcirculatory system. I want you to identifywhat part should be in the box. I will
allowyou to answer in chorus.“The one who can answer the activity willearn 5
points bonus for the assessment later.Ok, start.” (5 mins.)“A little bit
teacher”(Students will respond in chorus to amodel of the respiratory
andcirculatory systems.)“Okay teacher”

“Congratulations to everyone who haveanswered correctly. Remind me of
thenames later so that I can give eachyourselves a 5 point.”

C.Presentation of the Lesson

“Lets now process the activity. Why do you think I let you do the activity? Yes,
Ian?”“Excellent, Ian.”“Let’s start our lesson by defining firstthese two systems.
Who can define thefunction of the respiratory system? Yes,John? ““Very nice
information you got there for us,John. The primary part of the respiratorysystem
includes the Nose, pharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchi, and lungs.”“And what about
the primary parts for thecirculatory system? Who will try toanswer?
Anyone”“Okay it’s fine. To continue, There arethree major parts of the circulatory
systemThe heart that pumps the blood throughoutthe body. The blood vessel
carries bloodthroughout the body: Arteries, veins andcapillaries. The blood carries
the materialsthroughout the body.”“The two systems work together. The
heart pumps and the blood transport the inhaledoxygen to every cell of the body.
Carbon“We completed the task in order togather previous information that
wecould apply to our lesson todayteacher.”“The respiratory system is in chargeof
obtaining oxygen from the air andtransporting it to our lungs.”“We are not so sure
teacher.”
