Before we proceed to our discussion and
activities let’s have our energizer first.

Lung Durability [the students will follow]
Students will work in pairs to measure lung
capacity. Each pair of students will compete. Whoever has
the longest hold of breath (inhale) will be called a healthy
person. The student who will win will have a secret price.

Who can provide me an example of a respiratory Mouth, Nose, Pharynx, Larynx, Trachea,
system’s organ? Diaphragm, Bronchiole etc.

Mouth and nose are the openings that pull air from
outside your body into your respiratory system.
Next is Larynx?

Next is the Pharynx or throat: What is pharynx? A tube that delivers air from your mouth
and nose to the trachea (windpipe).

exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide takes
You’ve got it right! Also, it is where the lungs and the place.

I will group you into 4 groups and each group has students will follow
different task to do. Group 1 will draw the Human
Respiratory System, Group 2 will give the function of
each organ (names of organs are given) then Group 3
will label and put the functions on the side of each
organ and the Group 4 will explain the movement of
oxygen and carbon dioxide in and out of the
respiratory system.
