The Uniform Mark boundaries will not change for the lifetime of this specification.

The Raw Mark boundaries will be set independently in each examination series.
Please note:
If you are planning to use these Raw Mark boundaries to estimate future performance and grades they must be used
with caution as they are prone to change each series.

A* grade will be awarded to candidates who have met both of the following criteria:

1. gain an A grade overall at A level (320+ UMS out of 400 UMS); and
Awarding A*:
gain 90%, or more, of the maximum UMS on the combined totals of their A2 units (216+ UMS out of 240
2.
UMS).
A* will be awarded for A level cash-ins only. It will not be awarded at AS cash-in or for individual units.
