planned an educational visit to Aastha Old Age Home. Visiting an old age home can be an eye-opening experience. It can give us a glimpse into the lives of the elderly and the challenges they face. So as per the Curriculum the students of B.Sc. Nursing 3rd year visited the Aastha Old Age Home on 26th June 2023 & 27th June 2023 with 50-50 students on each day accompanied by Mr. Basil Varghese, Vice Principal, Mrs. Saroj Singh, Professor, Mr.Hrithik William and Ms. Vidhya Muchalla.
The students participated in various activities throughout the day.
Some were playing games, while others were socializing with elderly peoples. A group of students was engaged in group exercises and also distributed many food packets to the residents of old age home which was heartening to see.
In conclusion, the visit to the old age home was an enriching
experience. It made us appreciate the elderly and their contributions to society, and also made us aware of the challenges they face. We left the home with a sense of gratitude and respect for the residents and the staff who take care of them.
