OF HIS BLOOD

…TRANSCRIPT OF A TEACHING ON KINGDOM EXPLORERS BY

Tonight we will be talking about The Mystery of His Blood. This is a very
comprehensive topic. But I’ll just examine one of the mysteries of Jesus tonight.

Ephesians 2:13
But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood
of Christ
Hebrews 9:22
And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of
blood is no remission .

We see two major themes here;

1. The theme of reconciliation
2. The theme of remission

These themes show that:

1. We lost a relationship that could only be restored by the blood.
2. We owed a debt that only the blood could satisfy

But the question is why the blood of Jesus is that potent? What is the mystery
behind the potency of the blood?

To start with these two are tied to the fact that man died (spiritual death) in the
Garden of Eden. This was the death that Adam and Eve died when they disobeyed
God; their strained relationship with God was because they lost the divine life
that could connect intimately with God.

The resultant effect of their debt of sin was death...The wages of sin is death!
(Romans 6:23). So we see that the real thing the blood of Jesus cured was the
problem of death. Except that is dealt with, man could not be reconciled with
God. He would not have the capacity for intimacy with God. Except it is dealt
with, man would have to keep paying the wages of death.

So then, why is the blood of Jesus this potent? What is the Mystery of His blood?
You see, the mystery of Jesus' blood is simply the Mystery of LIFE, I’ll explain
in more details soon.

Please follow me, let me give you a background;

1 John 5:7
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the
Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
In eternity, the trinity exists as; The Father, The Word and The Spirit. It was the
Word that became flesh and was known as the SON (John 1:14).

Genesis 1:24
And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle,
and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
The first kind of life on earth was crafted by the Word, that’s why it's called
THE WORD OF LIFE.

Now let’s see another kind of life;

Genesis 2:7
And the LORD God formed man of dust of the ground, and breathed into his
nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul
Here, we see the Breath (Ruach; Spirit) of life was the kind of life that man
carried. While man had life by the Spirit; animals had life by the Word

So we see two forms of life on the earth at creation

1. The Word of life
2. The Spirit of life

But there was a third expression of life

Genesis 2:9
And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to
the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and
the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Now we have 3 expressions of life;

1. The Word of life
2. The Spirit of life
3. The Tree of life

Remember, the trinity exists as the Father, Word, and Spirit in eternity. The life
of trinity was available on the earth. But man only carried the Spirit of life...He
did not possess the Word of life. He had not eaten of the Tree of life.

Remember God told man in Genesis 2:17, But of the tree of the knowledge of
good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou
shalt surely die.

"You shall surely die" there means you will lose the (Spirit of) life that you carry,
so when man sinned, he lost the Ruach... the Spirit of life. But that was not all

Genesis 3:22-24
And the LORD God said, Behold, man is become as one of us, to know good and
evil and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also the tree of life, and eat,
and live forever: Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of
Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove out the man; and
he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword
which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

Can you see that? Man also lost access to the tree of life! The case was almost
becoming hopeless, but there was a joker. The residue of the Word of life was
still in the makeup of animals. How then would man be able to access that life?

Leviticus17:11
For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar
to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement
for the soul.
Did you see that? The life of the flesh is in the blood

Deuteronomy 12:23
Only be sure that thou eat not the blood: for the blood is the life; and thou mayest
not eat the life with the flesh.
Did you see that again? The blood is the life.

The blood of animals became sacred to man because man lost the divine life. The
only residue of unpolluted divine life he could access was in the blood of animals,
but that was only to be a palliative measure. It did not ultimately solve the
problem of spiritual death. All it could do was to cover the sins of man, not to
cure the problem of sin; it could not fully reconcile man to God also.

Now what did God do? Remember the blood of animals that man used for
atonement carried the residue of the Word of life. Now, in the advent of time,
God's goal was for the Word of Life to become FLESH!
See John 1:1, 4
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was
God. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

IN HIM WAS LIFE! Remember, the blood is the life! That was the joker!

That was why Bible said in 1 Corinthians 2:7-8

But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which
God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this
world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of
glory.
Emphasis on the word, CRUCIFIED

They would not have shed his blood if they knew; this was what happened when
Jesus came to the earth...The Word of Life that gave potency to the blood of
animals became flesh

Let’s see John 1:14 again –

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the
glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Now let’s see John 6:63

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak
unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

The joker was that this Word of Life was fully God. So in him the full Godhead
was represented with the Word of Life and the Spirit of life.
1 John 5:8 says
And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the
blood: these three agree in one.

That was why when Jesus died;

1. He shed his blood
2. He gave up the ghost
3. Water gushed from His side

The mystery of the blood is the fact that it contains LIFE! That life was the
antidote to death, the wages of man's sin (remission), that life restored to us, the
divine life that could connect with God (reconciliation).

John 6:53, 57: Then Jesus said unto them,Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye
eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. As the
living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he
shall live by me.

That's why each time you take the communion, what you do is that you partake
of the life of God. So what happens when you take the communion worthily? For
this cause, you are strong, healthy, and alive! Alleluia!!!

1. Strength
2. Health
3. Life
Those are the 3 mysteries of Jesus' blood. Today we have only been able to see
the mystery of life in the blood. On your own, you might want to study on the
Mystery of health by His blood and the Mystery of strength by His blood
But I want to pray for you tonight.
May you know what it means to be truly alive
May you be daily quickened by the life of God,
May the dividends of redemption by the blood be more and more evident in your
life in Jesus’ Name.

Perhaps you have not confessed Jesus as your Lord and saviour; you are still
missing out on this provision of divine life. Will you ask Jesus to come be your
Lord today and enter into the fellowship of life with the son of God? Just right
where you are, confess Jesus as your Lord.

Ask him to be the Lord of your life, cleanse you with his blood, and reconcile you
to God.
