    AFFIDAVIT-CUM-UNDERTAKING

    I Suraj Bahadur, Aged: 27 years, Occ: Service, Residing at: VPO


    Pachranga, District – Jalandar, Punjab 144201, do hereby state on solemn
    affirmation as under:

    1. I say that the Parties have resolved their issues amicably in the captioned matter
    and have reached a settlement whereby I will receive an amount of Rs.
    7,50,000/- (Rupees Seven Lakhs Fifty Thousand only). Further, my lawyer will
    also be paid a sum of Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lac only) towards the legal
    expenses. These amounts will be paid by means of demand drafts to me and my
    lawyer.

    2. I say that the abovementioned amount is paid to me towards full and final
    settlement, and I have no further claims against either Mr. Aroon Purie or
    anyone in the India Today Group (including its subsidiaries/ affiliates, group
    entities etc.). I further state that I understand that the terms of settlement are
    confidential and shall not, under any circumstances discuss or share any terms
    of the abovementioned settlement with anyone in any manner and for any
    reason. This includes any form of media, including and not limited to print,

    electronic, radio, offline and online journals, newspapers, webnews, blogs,


    podcasts etc.

    3. In view of the aforesaid settlement, I am willing to withdraw the captioned


    complaint and close all the issues from my side voluntarily and
    unconditionally.

    4. I say that I am giving this undertaking out of my free will and without any
    coercion or undue pressure from anyone.

    Payment of Rs. 7,50,000 (Rupees Seven Lacs Fifty Thousand only) received

    towards full and final settlement of issues in connection with the Complaint

    No. 652 of 2018 which was subsequently registered as S.C.C. No. 922 of 2019

    and filed before Judicial Magistrate First Class at Panvel. The payment has

    been received through demand draft bearing no. 164390 dated October 1, 2021,

    drawn on Canara Bank.
