Altratene Apocarotenal 20% OS is a dark brown oily suspension containing 20% β-Apo-8´-
carotenal E160e dispersed in sunflower oil and dl-α-tocopherol. The β-Apo-8´-carotenal
meets the latest editions of USP, FCC, Ph.Eur. and EU Regulation No. 231/2012 of 9. March
2012.

Altratene Apocarotenal 20% OS is slightly soluble in oils and fats. A stock solution can be
made by mixing the solution with vegetable oil that is peroxide free before the addition to
the final product. This will ensure an even distribution.
Altratene Apocarotenal 20% OS is sensitive to air, humidity, light and heat. The shelf life of
the product is 48 months when stored in the unopened original packaging at ambient
temperature (max. 25℃) in a dry place. The effective data is stated on the label. Contents
should be used shortly after opening. The product should be well mixed before it can be
used portion-wise.
As a coloring agent and/or nutrient for food products with an oil phase such as processed
cheese, margarine, vegetable oil, mayonnaise, dressing, dairy products, soup, sauce, sweets
and pastry.
This product is safe for its intended purpose. Avoid inhalation, ingestion or direct contact by
using appropriate protective measures and personal hygiene.
Altratene Apocarotenal 20% OS is free from palm origin products & derivatives, cereals
containing gluten(wheat, rye, barley, oats, spelt, kumat or their hybridised strains) and
products thereof, crustaceans and products thereof, egg and products thereof, fish and
products thereof, peanuts and products thereof, soybeans and products thereof, milk and
products thereof, nuts(almond, hazelnut, walnut, cashew, pecan, brazil, pistachio,
macadamia and Queensland) and products thereof, celery and products thereof, lupin and
products thereof, molluscs and products thereof, mustard and products thereof, sesame
seeds and products thereof, sulphur dioxide and sulfites, animal products, garlic, yeast
products, natural flavorings, artificial flavorings, benzoates, BHA/BHT, MSG/glutamates and
tartrazine (Yellow # 5).
