PRESENT SIMPLE: QUESTIONS AND SHORT ANSWERS

In order to have a complete revision of the Simple Present Tense, I copied again in this task the notes I prepared for you
some weeks ago. Let’s refresh our minds!

This tense is used to talk about habits and routines.

Two auxiliars are used in this tense: DO – DOES.
They are used in Questions
Short answers
Negative sentences

Does your mother work in a big company?
Yes, she does. / No, she doesn’t.
Do you go to school in the morning? SHORT ANSWERS
Yes, I do. / No, I don’t.

 NEGATIVE SENTENCES: SUBJECT + AUXILIAR (-) + VERB + ...

Martin doesn’t play football during the week.
We don’t go to guitar lessons on Saturdays.

 AFFIRMATIVE SENTENCES: SUBJECT + VERB + ...

Julia goes to the club every Monday.
They go to school by bus.
