1. a. Reference: CMC No: 26-2022 dated September 2, 2022 with subject

b. Department of Health (DOH) Department Circular No. 2022- 0390


dated July 24, 2022.

2. This pertains to the health and safety protocols to be undertaken by the


Philippine National Police (PNP) in support to other concerned government
agencies in the prevention and management of Monkeypox in the country.

3. In this regard, following are the signs and symptoms and key actions to
help prevent the spread of the disease:

SIGNS and SYMPTOMS: PREVENTION:


a. Fever a. Wash your hands frequently with
soap and water
b. Rash b. Clean and disinfect frequently
touched surfaces
c. Swollen lymph nodes c. Wear a face mask when around
others
d. Head ache d. Throughly cook all foods that
contain animal meats or parts
e. Muscle aches e. Avoid contact with bedding and
other materials contaminated with the
virus
f. Lesions f. Use Personal Protective Equipment
g. Blisters ( Beginning on the face) (PPE) when caring for people
infected with the virus
4. In addition, Monkeypox symptoms may start 5 to 21 days after you are
exposed.

5. In line with this, if any of the signs and symptoms occur, consult with your
respective Local Health Units or other agencies concerned for the Surveillance,
Screening, Management and Infection Control.
