The practice of applying persuasive writing for marketing or promotion is known as

"salesmanship." Selling is the ability to convince a potential customer to purchase a

thing. The goal of persuasive writing is to persuade the reader to accept the author's

point of view by utilizing several approaches.

One of the most popular strategies for creating persuasive essays is the use of

emotional appeal. Emotional appeals are arguments that are constructed with the

intention of changing the reader's feelings about the issue at hand. An emotional

appeal, for instance, could make the reader sympathetic to a character or upset about a

circumstance.

Use of logic and reason is another strategy that is frequently used in persuasive writing.

To support their claims, the author will offer a variety of data and evidence. The author's

goal is to convince the reader that their viewpoint is the only one that makes sense.

Convincing arguments have the power to significantly change readers' perspectives in

persuasive writing.
Recalling a situation where I bought a laptop and later regretted it.

I was seeking to purchase a laptop online. I came across a product description that

attempted to sell me a certain model by using persuasive language strategies. The

elegant appearance, powerful hardware, and an abundance of features that promised

flawless performance and increased productivity were stressed in the description. To

increase trust and reliability, it also placed a focus on favorable consumer feedback and

ratings.

I made the purchase without doing any in-depth study or weighing my options because

of the persuading description and my need for a high-performance laptop. But after

getting the laptop and using it for a while, I concluded that it fell short of my

expectations. Some of the features described in the description were not as helpful or

functional as I had hoped, and the performance was not as quick as promised. In this

scenario, I felt bad about the purchase I made and that I should have done more

research before being completely influenced by the persuasive text.
