Answer the following questions directly and scientifically.

1. Explain and discuss the difference between ecological literacy and Environmental
Literacy?
Ecological Literacy focus on promoting education that will help people in terms of survival.
Knowledge, skill and attitude are taught in and embedded in both formal and nonformal
school making it deeply rooted. Furthermore, Ecological literacy highlights the significance
of interrelationship of diverse life and nature. Thus, ecological literacy educates men about
the mechanisms of each system interacting with each other and its role in it in order to
preserve life in the long run. Environmental Literacy on the other hand promotes education
that involves acquisition of knowledge, skills and attitude in order to resolve and prevent
Environmental Issues. In addition to this Environmental literacy provide a clear link
between the expanded environment, providing culture and common Environmental goals
as significant factors in achieving a sustainable nation.

2. Discuss and give the highlight of current Philippine Environmental Education.


PHILIPPINE ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION portrays environment as a combination of
natural environment, built environment and socio-cultural environment. It uses culture as
the initial key in promoting Environmental awareness. This Environmental awareness is
anchored on the shared environmental goals that allows people to utilize the environment
without causing any disarray nor harm on the natural balance. The sustainable
developmental goals are presented in order to achieve sustainable nation.
3. Compare and Contrast using a Venn diagram the difference between interdisciplinary
approach and multidisciplinary approach in Environmental education.
