As per order dated 21.05.2019 Amendments in the High Court of Delhi-
Designation of Senior Advocates Rules, 2018 was forwarded to the Gazzette
Branch.
In view of above, required actions as per the directions by Secretariat.
CASE (08.07.2019) :-
Order of OSD (Rules) – to seek clarification from the General Branch to check
the status the formation of Committee.
CASE (09.07.2019) :-
As per the reference Order dated 08.07.2019 of OSD (Rules), General Branch
may requested to intimate the information to the Rules Branch.
R.G has been directed to place the request for extention of time for filling the
application for designation of Senior Advocates before the appropriate
Committee.

Hon’ble the Chief Justice has directed that the matter for placing the proposed
name of Mr. Sudhir Nandrajog, Senior Advocate as Recommended by
Government of NCT of Delhi.

Notified that the order dated 19.08.2019 of R.G to publish in the Delhi
Gazette(20.08.2019)
As per the Rule 3, all members of committee were decided expect the member
who nominated by BAR
Matter may be placed before the Hon’ble Chief Justice for orders for convening
a meeting of the existing Members of the Committee to nominate the member of
the Bar.
Pupose was inform him that Committte for the Designation of Senior Advocate
nominate him as a member of the Committee
Order to publish the notice to invite suggestion by advocates as per the Rule 8.

Under order 01.10.2019 of R.G. issued and uploaded on website with list of
Senior Advocate to invite/suggestion
In this regard, 3 Advocates submitted names for corrrectionin in names.
Regarding the correction in the names of Advocates in the list which was
published.
Circular issued for the formation of Committee under Rule 3 of the “The High
Court of Delhi Designaiton of Senior Advocate Rules, 2018”.

of the Member of the Sub-Committee for further directions in the matter.

As per the condition – if an applicant is running a law firm than He/She must
have to resign.
In Manoj K. Singh’s letter – he was not aware of this condition. So he wants to
withdrawal his application.
In regard this, request may be placed before the Committee
Meeting Scheduled to be held on 17.03.2020 for consideration and order.

Orders of Hon’ble the Chief Justice for appointment of Mr. Chetan Sharma,
Additional Solicitor General of India for DHC as a member of the committee.
Reason – Demitting of Office by Ms. Maninder Acharya, Additional Solicitor
General of India for DHC.
The Sub-Committee has been asked to expedite the matter and to submit its
evalutation report in tabulated form
Next meeting- 25.09.2020 at 5:30 PM
The evaluation report has been received from the Sub-Committee and the same
has been perused and considered by the Committee.
Informed that he is not prepared for the virtual interview on their scheduled date
due to his own personal problem.

Mr. Abhishek Agarwal, Son of Shri Girish Aggarwal informed that his father
who applied for the designation of Senior Advocate, has left for heavenly abode
on 06.11.2019.
The interviews scheduled for 5,6 &7 Oct 2020 were scucessfully completed,
however, the interviews for 8,9,12,13 &14 Oct 2020 were deferred by the
Committee and rescheduled for 10,11,18,19 & 23 Nov 2020.
Circulation of note and ballot paper amongst Hon’ble Judges of the Court
concerning voting by secret ballot in respect of who secured 65 or more in the
full court meeting proposed to be held on 19.03.2021.
Resolution passed by the Hon’ble Full Court meeting held on 19.03.2021 – CJ-
DHC has been pleased to designate 55 Advocates as Sr. Advocates.
