Do this step twice to have a front and back to the bag

Bottom Strap: “Bubblegum”

Slip knot
Chain 5, turn your work
Skip the 5th chain and sc into the rest of the 4 chains, chain 1, turn work
again and continue doing this step until you have 80 rows
Once you are at the end of the 80th row, sc 2 into the first stitch on the
side of your work and continue sc 1 along the side to clean up the edges.
Once you get to the end of the first side, sc 2, then sc 1 into each stitch
on the end of the work (4 stitches)
You will now be on the other side of your work.
To start the new side, sc 2 into the first stitch (this will give the ends a
rounded look)
Now sc 1 into each stitch along the side of your work, sc 2 in the last
stitch
slst and finish off

Sew the bottom strap to both circles (This creates a bottom for the bag-
hence the name!)

*If you are interested in having a different strap than pictured, (I.e. no
metal connectors or twisted multicolor strap), you can take the bottom
strap, extend the amount of rows to 240 instead of 80, skip the rounded
corners step, and just sew together the ends to create one long strap*

Twisted Strap: “Bubblegum” and “Papaya”

Take “Bubblegum” and chain 300
Take “Papaya” and sc 1 along the chain you just made
*Do this step twice to have 2 strands*
Loosely twist the straps together so they don’t bunch up.

Metal Connectors: Assembly

Take your bottom strap, place the flat side of the connector on row 5 and
fold over
Take your darning needle and sew the ends together until secure
Do this same step on the other side
The twisted strap can simply be tied into a knot on the rounded side of
the connector
You can sew the knot into place if desired. Otherwise, it could be an
adjustable strap.

Eyes: Part 1: Using Black yarn

Slip Knot
Chain 9
Skip a chain and sc into 8 chains- on the 8th chain, sc 2
Do not flip work-continue sc 1 on the opposite side
Continue around around work, putting 2 sc in the first and last stitch of
each row
(This creates the rounded oval look)
Do this step until you have 3 rows on each side
Slst and finish off
*Do Part 1 twice to have 2 eyes*

Eyes: Part 2: Using “Royalty” aka blue

Magic circle
Sc 8 into circle
Sc 8 again
Slst and finish off
*Do Part 2 twice*

Eyes: Part 3: Using White yarn

Magic circle
Sc 8 into circle
Sc 8 again
Slst and finish off
*Do Part 3 twice*
Eyes: Part 4: Assembly
Take your darning needle and sew the white circle onto the black oval
(make sure there is a rim of black still showing*
Do the exact same thing with the blue circle, just sew it at the bottom of
the black oval instead.
*Do Part 4 twice to complete a set of eyes*

Mouth: Using black yarn

Magic circle
Sc 8 into circle
2 sc into each stitch (16)
Slst and finish off

Cheeks: Using “Papaya” or a darker pink color yarn

Slip knot
Chain 5
Skip a chain and sc into 4 stitches- on the 4th chain sc 2
Continue around the other side, sc 2 in the last stitch
Slst and finish off
*Do this step twice*

Face Assembly:
Sew the facial features onto the front of the bag
I used a picture reference to ensure the face was spaced properly
*Use my Photoset as reference if needed*

Star Wallet:
Magic circle
Chain 2
Dc 10 into circle, slst and chain 1
Sc 2 into each stitch (20), slst and chain 2
DC into each stitch, 2 dc in the last stitch, slst and chain 1
Sc in the next 3 stitches, in the 4th stitch - (dc, dc, tb, chain 2 and sc into
the side of the tb, dc, dc)
Sc in the next 3 stitches and repeat the parentheses section
Repeat process until there are 5 points
Slst into two chains and sc around the work (chain 3 at the tops of each
point to ensure the point doesn’t round out too much)
Slst and finish off

Do this step twice

Once you have 2 stars, sew them together. Leave a gap big enough to
hold cards/cash/etc
