Reading One
Great Britain is the island consisting
of England, Scotland, and Wales,
which together with Northern
Ireland makes up the United
Kingdom.

British people live in the UK.

The British are said to be reserved
in manners, dress, and speech.
They are famous for their
politeness, self-discipline, and
especially for their sense of humor.

Some families are lucky to live on

this beautiful island. The Bensons
are from Great Britain. They are
proud of it. They live in Edinburgh.
Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland.
It's a small and friendly city.
In the same way, the family consists
of 4 members. They are Mr. and
Mrs. Benson and their two little
children. This couple has a
daughter and a son. They are all
blonde.

The father’s name is David Benson

and the mother’s name is Anne
Benson. They are a young couple.
Mr. Benson is a photographer and
his wife is a nurse. Mr. Benson likes
to take pictures of landscapes in the
UK. He is very creative. Mrs. Benson
works in a hospital. She likes to help
people in her country. She is very
kind and loves her children very
much.
They live in a big house. Their house
is modern and comfortable. There
are two-stories house. There’s a
living room, a kitchen, a bathroom
and a hall on the first floor. There
are three bedrooms and a bathroom
on the second floor. There is a small
garden near their house. The
children like to play in the garden.
There are a lot of flowers in the
garden because Mrs. Benson likes
flowers.
The Bensons are not rich but they
are very happy. They are a great
British family!
