Statement of the Problem

This study aims to assess the mentoring practices of master teachers in selected

public elementary schools in Taguig City. The results of the study will be used in bring

about a capability training.

Specifically, this study seeks to answer the following questions:

1. What is the demographic profile of the teacher respondents and the mentees

according to:

1.1 age; and

1.2 years in service as master teachers; and

1.3 years in service as teachers

2. How may the mentoring practices of the respondents be describe as to:

2.1 content knowledge and pedagogy

2.2 learning environment;

2.3 diversity of learners;

2.4 curriculum and planning;

2.5 assessment and reporting;

2.6 community linkages and professional engagement; and

2.7 personal growth and professional development

3. How do the 2 groups of respondents assess the mentor mentee practices?

4. Is there significant difference in the assessment of the two groups when group

according to their people?

5. Based on the findings of the study what capability training can be proposed?
