with pictures related to the previous vocabulary lesson and explains
what they have to do; T plays some background music to help Ss feel
more comfortable and relaxed;.
*Ss have to solve the puzzle and then stick them on the flipchart in
front of the class; then they take turns to match the pictures with the
words.

about their holidays; Ss have to put the verbs in brackets into the Past
simple tense;
*Ss work together to complete the task;
*Then they take turns to read; while one group is reading the others
have to pay attention because the T is going to ask them some
questions about the text (“Where did X go on holiday? Did he like it?”
etc)
*Ss listen to the directions given by the T; They read and answer the
questions;
*After they finish the T asks them about their previous holiday.

choose one of the four options that appear on the screen – either choose
the correct form of a verb in the past or put the words in the correct
order to form a sentence in the past simple.
*Each pair decide on the correct answer and tells it to the teacher.
*for the Ss that are having trouble with the task the T provides
worksheets more suitable for their level;
