PROCEDURE * T invites Ss to become part of a story in which they have to play the
role of detectives investigating a murder case. To introduce the story,
the T presents a text containing the circumstances of the murder, as
well as the questioning/interrogation of the first suspect.

speech (‘What did the detective ask first?, Did the suspect hear
anything?);
*Ss listen to the question carefully and give suitable answers (“The

night., She said she had heard Jeremy’s bedroom door”); they work in
groups.
