AUTOCAD INSTALLATION STEPS

How to Install AutoDesk AutoCAD in Windows.

To Download and Install AutoCAD Software (Educational version), follow below steps

STEP-1

Register your details in below site with your Name and e-Mail ID

https://www.autodesk.com/education/free-software/autocad

Click “CREATE ACCOUNT” to continue.

STEP-2

FILL BELOW FORM with below details

First name and Last name - enter name as printed in your College ID Card.

Give your college e-Mail id preferably.- for eg. cb.en.u4mee19xxx@cb.students.amrita.edu

Click “CREATE ACCOUNT” to continue.

STEP-3

You will get a verification e-Mail in your registered e-Mail ID.

Open your e-Mail account and click “VERIFY”. Click “DONE” to continue

STEP-4

Enter below details in the Form given.

Educational Institution: Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (Coimbatore, Tamilnadu)

Graduate in : date should be given as month and year printed in your ID Card back-side.
STEP-5

Click “CONTINUE” to go to next page.

STEP-6

Click “Get Started” under AUTOCAD TAB.

STEP-7

Click on CONFIRM ELIGIBILTY

Click browse and Upload YOUR COLLEGE ID CARD/issued letter* PHOTO or SCANNED COPY

* for Fresher’s Provisional Admission Order (PAO) SCANNED COPY can be uploaded.
STEP-8

Wait for few minutes until verification by AutoDesk is over and confirmation email/link will come to your e-
mail id for downloading Educational Version of AutoCAD.
Check your e-Mail and you will receive an email with below subject.

Congrats! You now have educational access to Autodesk products

Click “GET PRODUCTS”

STEP-9

SELECT “DOWNLOAD” from AUTOCAD Tab.

STEP-10

Save file to you Laptop or Personal Desktop.

Wait until download setup is completed (1.6 GB file).

AutoCAD INSTALLATION STEPS

Open AutoCAD setup file from the downloaded folder.

Will ask where to extract/unzip supporting files required for the AutoCAD Installation. Specify path or directory.
CLICK “Install” to continue.
 CLICK “I Accept” to continue

Select Installation directory and click “Install” to continue .

Installation is complete now. You can click “Launch Now” Button to Open AutoCAD.
